Your provider will customized a plan with you, and help hold you accountable for following the steps properly and effectively.

FACE REALITY ACNE BOOTCAMP is a 6-12 month process with your commitment to use the prescribed acne safe products by our Haven acne expert exclusively and commit to change your lifestyle, diet and makeup. We will also discuss the use of birth control and medications that can contribute to acne.

FACE REALITY ACNE BOOT CAMP has proven to work. Our program is designed to treat all types of acne grades 1-4, meaning, mild to severe inflamed acne, non-inflamed acne, teenage acne, adult or mature acne, acne rosacea, hormonal acne, cystic acne and back acne without the use of prescription. Since everyone’s skin is different, we will customize an effective clear plan designed just for you and your skin!

What should I expect at my first Acne Treatment and Consultation?

Our Haven acne expert will diagnose your specific acne type (inflamed, non-inflamed, hormonal, cystic, acne rosacea, teenage acne, adult acne) and identify factors that may be causing your acne. You will receive Acne Consultation Packet with valuable information about ingredients, food, habits and lifestyle choices that aggravate acne as well as a list of acne-safe make-up recommendations. You will be asked to bring all of the products you use to your first appointment so that we can check for pore-clogging ingredients. After a thorough skin analysis, we will perform extractions and do a light treatment peel or hydrating enzyme mask, depending on your skin tolerance to kick-start the clearing process.  We will design a customized home-care routine using products with “acne safe” ingredients and set up a treatment schedule that fits your budget.

How long does it take to get clear skin?

While many clients see an improvement in their skin within the first month, it usually takes about 3-6 months period of time to get at least 90% clear. This is because it takes 30-90 days for existing acne impactions to make their way to the surface to be extracted. Our acne products and protocol will keep the new acne from forming that would surface 90 days from now. Usually, in most cases, the Face Reality Acne Skincare System will have your acne under control  in about 3-6 months depending of what type of acne you have. Please bear in mind that some type of acne takes longer to clear. For some people it might take more than 6 months to get clear depending on the severity of your acne, skin color, skin type, skin sensitivity and environment. Our acne specialist or acne expert would only see you 2X a month or less, and you treat your skin everyday, that being said, you are setting yourself up for success if following all guidelines properly.

Can you get rid of acne scars?

What most people consider acne “scars” are actually red, purple or brown marks left behind by old acne lesions. These are not true acne scars. This is called Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) and can be treated at our clinic with a series of light or deep chemical peels and the right home-care products to lighten these marks. True acne scars are deeper and may look like an indentation or pitting can also be treated in our clinic using medical grade chemical peels, or SkinPen Microneedling here at Haven.
